Woooh I made the SHORTLIST!! :) – Sewing Francoise PART II

I come to you bearing exciting news!! :)Last weekend I showed you my dress for an amazing sewing competition – the Francoise dress and guess what?! I’m in the top 25 shortlist!!

In case you missed it here is my dress:

I am very thankful to Tilly and her team for choosing me and can’t tell you how happy it makes me. I only started sewing properly on 9th October with an all day sewing class and since have made 4 dresses (including the Francoise), 3 skirts, 1 bad pair of shorts, pajama bottoms and cushion covers so the very fact that I am in the shortlist with long time sewers is just simply amazing. Also Tilly has been my main inspiration for my new found love of dressmaking and the first sewing blog I got hooked on so her stamp of approval means the world to me.

So the competition is now over to you – the public decides what happens next!

SEE ALL ENTRIES AND VOTE HERE

I would love more than anything to be in the top 10 let alone win this but may the best dress win – I am in love with my dress so it really is about taking part and I wish everyone the best of luck. I love them all – so many wonderful designs and ideas – amazing!

Back to my Christmas present sewing!! I’m making headway but will still be up till 5am on Christmas Eve I’m sure… 😉
