NEW VLOG & GIVEAWAY WINNER!

Happy Fridaaay!

Wowzers I have been up against it the last two weeks – I really gave myself so much to do and have forgotten what sleep and eating at normal hours are! Last night, after supper at 11pm and editing videos till 4am, I realised I seriously need to get back to a much more disciplined schedule so I’m starting that today… I am being very naughty as I’m meant to be ‘looking after myself’ at the moment – I’ve only just stopped being radioactive after my treatment – oopsadaisy… but you know what? I love being busy.

All the things I am doing, I love to do…

  • lots of sewing for two massive opportunities, photographing those makes and blogging them :

Big Vintage Sew-a-long

Refashioners (this took weeks!)

  • vlogging – this last one took 10 hours to edit!!! Normally they take 3/4hrs
  • recording and putting out a new song, all the promo/pushing that goes with that
  • sorting out my lovely Simple Sew Bloggers Team
  • massive amounts of DIY on finishing Stephen’s summerhouse (it’s amazing!) and resorting my own summerhouse where we are fitting new shelves for my sewing patterns (this last bit has been mostly Stephen as I have been too busy to join in – what a legend he is!)
  • and walking that dog!

So it’s all about trying to use every bit of time to the best of my ability and some serious multitasking – does anyone have any suggestions as how they utilise their time efficiently?!

Anyway- that’s just a massive tangent (I’m good at those!) as I’m here for much more exciting things…

NEWVLOG

NEW VLOG! It’s Megan and I making a Batwing Top from Chinelo Bally’s amazing book Freehand Fashion from the lovely Pavillion Books

This is a longer one as we go through it step by step and also have a mini Twin Needle tutorial as well as obviously lots of general silliness… maybe our silliest yet?!

Can we just have a minute to laugh at our doppelganger photoshoot – the two on the right (or is it left?!) are the models from the actual book!!!

BatwingDuo Photography by Klarke Caplin – who is a lovely seamstress too!

Annnnd it’s time to announce the winner of the V2903 Vintage Pattern from this blog.

  1. No way, I only just listened to you in the car this morning. And then my other half sent me this link. We saw you live in Germany a few years ago. I sew as well, and quilt. But have been neglecting my blog (http://thiscreativebliss.blogspot.co.uk/). I don’t actually ever post about the dresses I make because I don’t want to post pictures of myself on the webs. I am very impressed with your sewing. I still can’t believe one of my fave singers is into sewing. so cool.
