CosyWool Winter Scarf Challenge!

Hello!

Phew!! I’ve just finished this on time to enter the CosyWool winter scarf challenge which finishes today!

I’m afraid it’s not even blocked yet- it really is hot off my needles but I LOVE my scarf!

I’m showing this on a mannequin as I’ve been weaving in ends and finishing this bad boy since the early hours and I’m not remotely presentable. The mannequin looks fab though I think!!

The pattern is a simple chevron scarf – as I love chevrons and bold red and black together this is exactly what I want to wear all winter and the wool is so thick and cosy I’ll be warm even in the Arctic!

I used 2 balls of each red and black Cygnet Seriously Chunky yarn and it really is seriously chunky – I used my 10mm knitting needles for this one and it did fly off the needles- probably took 10 hours in all to complete it. It’s a great yarn – really substantial, soft and no bobbles yet!

(Please excuse the dog hairs – Hobbes gets EVERYWHERE!!)

Huge thanks to Blogging Edge and Cosywool for getting me involved in this challenge – I love knitting and I totally needed a scarf so it was the perfect kick up the backside to get on with it!

Right, I’m going to wrap up warm in my new scarf and take my malting dog out for a walk!

Happy knitting!
