Christmas Present Makes and my Personal Nominette Labels…

Good morning peoples,

I have to start with my current mood as today is the day David Bowie died and I’m totally devastated. He has been such a huge part of my life, my music and my style but I am so pleased he got out a pure masterpiece with his last album, Blackstar, before his big gig in sky… Rest in peace Oh you pretty, pretty thing.

Anyway… I’m here to blog about Christmas – better late than never eh?!

I made all of my presents this year – to be honest I can’t really afford to do Christmas any other way these days!! But I do love giving handmade presents and I love that I can make personal things for my family now. I really need to start earlier though – it really was silly to be up at 3am on Christmas Eve finishing these items!!

Something that gave my presents a much more professional finish was adding my own personal labels from Nominette Creative. I am a very lucky blogger to be gifted 100 of my own labels from Nominette and this is what I designed especially for presents I’ve made…

The site is really easy to use and setting up your own design is quick and simple so I would fully recommend Nominette to anyone looking for their own labels and I’m very thankful to get a chance to try them out myself.

So to the presents…

Of course being Christmas day in my house- it was about as hectic as it gets and I didn’t get nearly enough pictures and none at all of some of my favourites that are back in their respective homes!!

Exactly the same PJs remade for my sister who absolutely lived in them last year till she lost them in America!!

A gorgeous silky Fifi camisole and shorts set by Tilly and The Buttons for my oldest sister.

More quilted oven clothes for my sister in law – I love making these!

Some jersey relaxed pants for my mum – using the casual trousers pattern from the new GBSB book – Fashion with Fabric.

I think that’s all and I’m happy to report they all went down really well- yay!

OK I’m off to carry on wedding making – I think I’m up to about 100 flowers made last week and I’m just waiting on the fabric to start sewing up the bridesmaid dresses (fingers crossed it comes today!) which will be keeping me very busy over the next few days!

Sew much love,
